I visited some of the caves in 2007, shot some video of a cave renovation with interviews. Want to go back and continue. It reminded me of the East Village in Manhattan in the early 1980′s, where sqwats were part of the neigborhood.

I lived in one of those caves for a month in 1994 – so very glad to hear they haven’t been paved over or turned into luxury condos.
